Having developed sophisticated technology due diligence, assessment and execution services for the benefit of the internal investment team at a leading venture capital firm, it became clear this was a service of interest to external VCs, CEOs, Board Directors and Executives of other companies. Laitwood Technology was formed to deliver the highest level of service to clients interested in better understanding the value of technology within their companies.

Dr David McNally

David, 37, previously spent 20 months at antfactory, a global investment firm was involved in pre-investment assessment of business, in supporting portfolio companies post-investment, and also defining the firm’s technology investment strategy. He joined antfactory from Calleo, where he built the e-Business practice and managed projects to build the retail shopping platform for Egg and the New Media Solutions suite of content management software (used for Barclaycard's indigosquare.com). He also provided strategic e-Commerce consultancy to some of the world’s leading investment banks and supported the eCommerce in Fixed Income user group. His career spans technical computing at Digital, investment banking and derivatives trading at D E Shaw and he was a founder of 3e Research (now 3e Europe) which is based in Cambridge. He has a PhD and BSc (Hons) in Computational Science from St Andrews University.
